In the neighbourhood of the Trikala railway station you can find the meter-gauge steam
locomotive 22 of the former Thessalian Railways, now as a monumental. The locomotive
was made in 1908 by Tubize in Belgium and for decades it stands withdrawn in Volos.

Gegenüber dem Bahnhof von Trikala, auf einem Platz, steht die Meterspur-Dampflok 22 der Thessalischen Kleinbahn nun als Denkmallok. Zuvor stand die 1908 von Tubize in Belgien gebaute Lok ausgemustert auf dem Bahnhofsgelände von Volos. Der gesamte Museumszugs sieht leider sehr schlecht aus, aber da er erst kürzlich aufgestellt wurde, gibt es Hoffnungen, daß es nicht so bleibt. Cylinder block of a metre-gauge steam locomotive at the railway museum of Kalamata. Many of the exhibits are showing damage due to rust. Here someone has tried to repair a cylinder block with what looks like car body filler. The rust won.

A vandalised metre-gauge steam locomotive at the railway museum of Kalamata, which is also a public park. There is free public access to the park and its collection is rapidly rusting away.
