In Greece, nobody cares when a train full of people goes backwards over a switch. The driver jumped out and pushed the switch it in the good direction. Then the train headed back on another track. Photo taken from 5523-6523 at Argos. 30 April 2000.

The new Tempi tunnels are a major engineering railway work. With these
tunnels, the old riverside route via Tempi valley is bypassed since the
end of 2003.
This view shows the inside of the longest tunnel, some weeks before operation. At the exit is the Rapsani station, just after a wide left curve.

This inside view of the new Tempi tunnel is towards the Evangelismos station.
The interesting point is that there is a sequence of arched sidewalls, which
act as a relief exit from the air pressure inside the tunnels.
