So good we just had to have a run behind this loco...Battle of Britain Class 34067 Tangmere.
Bringing back memories of family holidays to the seaside in the 1950s and 60s for one of us, we are
at London Victoria soon to depart at 12.28pm on Hertfordshire Rail Tours run through the Surrey hills
'The Downsman'. The date is May 12th 2005.

Now what can that trail of smoke mean...yes 34067 Tangmere is heading for London's Victoria Station
to bring out a lunchtime VSOE. The day is Saturday 19th November 2005.

34067 Tangmere is getting up steam nicely as it takes the VSOE through the suburbs of south London towards the
more rural parts of the SE on its lunctime circular tour on the 19th November 2005.

Its was a cold frosty start to the day but with any fog now gone the sun provides perfect weather
for picturing that old smokey favourite 34067 Tangmere as she passes through Wandsworth Road
with the VSOE on the 19th November 2005.

34067 Tangmere is in charge of the lunchtime VSOE on the 19th November 2005 with a 465 EMU in
Network South East colours ahead of it as they approach Wandsworth Road.
