BR Standard Class 4 2-6-0 No. 76009 (front) and SR Bulleid ‘Battle of Britain’ 4-6-2 No 34067 Tangmere at Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway for the Spring Steam Gala. Tangmere hauled a special charter from London Paddington, and stopped at Bishops Lydeard where 76009 (really 76079) was attached forming a double-headed train to Minehead.

The locos are double-heading the last leg of the charter service from London Paddington to Minehead that was conveyed by 34067 alone as far as the WSR.

SR Bulleid ‘Battle of Britain’ 4-6-2 No 34067 Tangmere at Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway for the Spring Steam Gala, having hauled a special charter from London Paddington this far, it paused for an hour to take on water and to wait for its turn on the single line stretch to Crowcombe Heathfield. BR Standard Class 4 2-6-0 No. 76009 was attached to the front, and the two locos then double-headed the train to Minehead.
