BR Standard Class 4 2-6-4T No 80079.
80079, running into Westcliff-on-sea station with an excursion from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness on the morning of 3 May 1999. Built at Brighton Works in 1954 it worked the LTS line until electrification in 1962. Withdrawn in 1965 and sent to Barry scrapyard until 1971 when it was rescued for restoration on the Severn Valley Railway entering service there in 1977. Waiting to depart from Shoeburyness with an excursion to London Fenchurch Street in the afternoon of 2 May 1999. Built at Brighton in 1954 and delivered to the LTS line where it worked until displaced by electrification in 1962. Withdrawn in 1965, it remained at Barry scrapyard until 1984 when its remains were rescued for restoration, steaming again at the Midland Railway Centre in 1998.
