A wide variety of trains wait under the setting sun at Plymouth on Guy Falkes evening, November 5, 2003. They include a First Great Western HST, a Virgin Voyager, an EWS Class 09 and 4 mail vans headed by an EWS Class 67.

Many things have changed since British Railways were privatised around 1996...but clearly not everything
as this sign pictured in October 2003 shows. BR created Network SE in the late 1980s and it is pleasing to
see that evidence of it is still around today..credit to Chiltern Railways for keeping a bit of our railway history.

Palmers Green on the Hertford North line sits on the brow of Aldermans Hill. It has changed very little externally
since the days of steam and first generation green diesels & DMUs.
Today it presents a very respectable appearence as we return to see the class 40 on its way to London.
