The southern end of Shanklin station on the Isle of Wight, currently the southern terminus of the Island Line. I beleive that most of the original trackbed is still available but if there is any active call for its reinstatement they don't appear to have a significant Internet presence. Shanklin Station is now the southern terminus on the Isle of Wight's Island Line. Note that despite privatisation the BR 'Double Arrows' remain as this is the recognised symbol for a 'mainline station'. Pictured on a very bright and sunny August 31st 2003.
