Almost(?) all trains that call at this platform are trains from Portsmouth Harbour, the only station between here and the end of the line, the typical destinations are London Waterloo (South West Trains), London Victoria (Southern) and Cardiff Central (First Great Western).

Almost(?) all trains that call at this platform are trains to Portsmouth Harbour, the only station between here and the end of the line, but the "OFF" display facing drivers heading from the harbour shows that the line is bidirectional.

The ticket office at Portsmouth and Southsea station makes good use of its two-storey height by displaying various pieces of art. The train in the centre arch looks to be an APT with a multiple unit in Network SouthEast colours behind it. I'm not certain if APTs ever made it to Portsmouth.
