Station of Liverpool Street, seen from the corner with Broad Street.
One can spot the famous Great Eastern Hotel further right. The block in the background accommodates the EBRD-BERD, and has actually replaced the Eastern train shed, whose tracks are now covered. London-Liverpool Street. 19th August 2004.

Looking outbound from midway along platform 6 at London Liverpool Street station. This view clearly shows the partially below-ground nature of the station, the rationale for this expensive design was to allow a connection with the sub-surface Metropolitan Railway (now the London Underground Metropolitan Line), but in practice this did not happen often if at all and the link was abandonded quite early on in the life of the station.

London's Liverpool Street Station is one of the Capitals biggest with 18 platforms. It dates back to 1874 but was extensively modernised
over a period from 1985-1992. An unusual feature is the upper walkway that includes shops above the entrance to the platforms and enables you to
take pictures like this! The view is looking west towards platforms 1-11 and the date 7th November 2003.

London's Liverpool Street Station currently has three train operating companies or TOCs working out of there.
Anglia...First Great Eastern...and WAGN or West Anglia Great Northern. However this will shortly change with just one
Greater Anglia Franchise and only one company responsible for all trains. Picture looking east along the
length of the station and taken on the 7th November 2003.

The main reason for taking the picture is the clock. These are typical station clocks in the S.E.
and they still retain Network South East...BR Region dating back to the 1980s... red plus the grey/red/blue slash.
Alongside are two WAGN units in their plum livery
the one on the right is just about to leave as the sign above says 'OFF'. Pictured at 14.54 and 58 seconds precisely
at London's Liverpool Street Station on the 18th October 2003.
