28 Oct 2000, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK Display board in Edinburgh Waverley station announcing somewhat extended journey time. Rail services have been hit both by an overreacting Railtrack infrastructure company after the Hatfield accident and heavy flooding on the lines further south. By the way, standard would be 4h30 from Kings Cross, a test run once made in 3h30 minutes.

GNER trains usually depart and arrive from platform 10 in the rear of the Photographer and then use the points to bypass an eventual Virgin train possibly standing at platform 11 which in turn has to bypass platform 10 if occupied with a GNER train when operating a service towards the West Coast Main Line.
