The western end of platforms 2 and 3 at Bridgend (Pen-y-Bont) station in South Wales, viewed from the rear of the first carriage of a departing First Great Western HST service from London Paddington to Swansea. Platform 3 on the left is a short bay platform that is presumably used for services to/from Maesteg that start/terminate here, although I don't know how frequent an occurrence this is.

The station sign at Bridgend station in South Wales. The welsh name, Pen-y-bont, literally translates as "End [of] the bridge". Bridgend is the town's full name in English, but the full Welsh name is Pen-y-bont ar Ogwyr - "End [of] the bridge over [the river] Ogmore".
