RHDR miniature railway. Number 10 "Doctor Syn" built by the Yorkshire Engine Co. in 1931, based upon a Canadian 4-6-2 design. The train hauled by #10 arrives at New Romney on the single train portion from Dungeness in June 1976 and exchanges the token to allow the left hand tain onto the single line.

RHDR miniature railway. Number 3 "Southern Maid" built in 1927, based upon Gresley's A1 Pacific runs into New Romney station in June 1976.
Cover the figure in red with your hand and this could be a 1930's mainline steam arrival at some East Coast large city.

RHDR miniature railway. Number 7 "Typhoon" built in 1927, based upon Gresley's A1 Pacific. It was originally built as a 3-cylinder engine but converted to 2 cylinder in 1935 runs past New Romney signal box on a very rainy day in June 1976.

RHDR miniature railway. The feel of real mainline running is created with these 1/3 sized steam locomotives running on 1/4 scale track. In 1974 the only place in Britain where steam locomotives in scheduled service passed each other on a double track railway line.
