Zebedee a 0-6-4 coal fired Pannier tank locomotive at East Wheal Rose station.

The 15in (381mm) gauge track runs for 1 mile on a section of trackbed originally built for a minerals railway
to serve the mine at East Wheal Rose in 1849. It was in use until its closure on the 4th February 1963.

Zebedee a 0-6-4 coal fired Pannier tank locomotive at East Wheal Rose station.

The Lappa Valley Railway opened to the public on the 16th June 1974 with Zebedee and four coaches built by
Jays Gates of St Newlyn East (now Mid-Cornwall Metal Fabrications of Newquay). Two more locomotives were purchased
from Longleat Safari Park in 1976 and more coaches were built as well.

In the 1970s a 7¼ inch (184mm) gauge railway was laid around a small boating lake, whilst a third railway,
of 10¼ inch (260mm) gauge, running a further 748 yards (684m) along the old trackbed was opened in May 1995.

7¼ inch (184mm) gauge 125 HST at East Wheal Rose station.

The locomotive and carriages are based on the 125 High Speed Train.
Wheels: 4 + 4.
Engine: single cylinder 5 hp petrol.
Built by Mardyke of Essex.

Known as the Woodland Railway it is a circular track approximately one-fifth of a mile long.

10¼ inch gauge Duke of Cornwall at East Wheal Rose station.

Running on the old track bed this 748 yards (684 metres) line known as the Newlyn branch line runs from
East Wheal Rose to Newlyn Halt.

This diesel locomotive, carriages and track were acquired from Carlyon Bay near St Austell.

Wheels: 4 + 4.
Engine: 4 cylinder 1600 cc petrol.

Built by Severn Lamb of Stratford-upon-Avon.
