Fairlies Patent double ended steam train, David Lloyd George. At Dduallt station on 12/02/2005, on route to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The deviation spiral at Dduallt is apparently the only peice of track of its kind in the UK. It's used to raise the track 35 feet so that it may pass behind the Ffestiniog Power Station. It was constructed in 1965.

Festiniog Railway. #3 double-ended Fairlie 0-4-4-0T "Earl of Merioneth" built in 1886, runs around its train at Dduallt Station in June 1971 on a very bleak and overcast Wednesday. This was my only visit to the FR. At the time this was the end of the railway. The extension can be seen behind the locomotive.
