D832's simularity in appearence with the German V200 locos means that the two are closely related. Unlike most British diesels, which are diesel electric, this one is diesel hydraulic and would have been seen hauling trains mostly in the Western Region during the 60's and early 1970's.

We believe this is a close relative of the German class V200. British Warship D832 'Onslaught' or class 42 is seen
at Leicester North in September 2004 at the Great Central Railway's Diesel Gala providing a rare opportunity to
travel behind one of these diesel hydraulic locos.
