What is probably a Southeastern Trains Electrostar crosses the River Thames London having just left Cannon Street Station on a grey December 8th 2006.

A Southeastern Trains 465/466 still in Network South East colours crosses the River Thames having just left Cannon Street Station. The Tower of London can be seen in the background and the day December 8th 2006 is a rather grey looking one.

The platforms of London's Cannon Street Station...that was opened in 1866 and now annually sees about 18 Million passengers...can clearly be seen in this view extending out over the River Thames. The Southeastern Trains unit is possibly a class 376 and the picture was taken on the 8th December 2006.

A Southeastern Trains Electrostar 375 crosses the Thames just outside Cannon Street Station. The barges being hauled up the river contain ' Binliners' which can be seen on the Capital's rubbish trains. Picture taken on the 8th December 2006 looking east from another of London's terminus stations Blackfriars.

Looking south from Charing Cross station onto the Hungerford Bridge, the extreme southern end of the station is actually on the bridge.
