The end of the passage leading from the Jubilee Line platforms at London Waterloo station. Beyond the doorway the passage leading to the Bakerloo and Northern Lines is of very different decor indicating it most likely predates the Jubilee Line Extension, opened in 1999.

The Jubilee Line platforms at Waterloo station are at the opposite side of the site from the other lines and so these moving walkways, the only level moving walkways on the London Underground system (there are inlcined ones at Bank), were installed.

The Waterloo and City Line arrival platform at Waterloo station. The darker area of the platform in the middle distance is the newly installed hump, designed to allow level access to part of the train.

The Waterloo and City Line arrival platform at Waterloo station. This photogtaph is a closeup of the newly installed hump, designed to allow level access to part of the train. Contrary to how it looks, I did take this picture from the platform, not the track.

The only part of the London Underground system that has this additional safety feature
between the platform edge and the line is the most recent addition...the Jubilee
Line extension between Waterloo and Stratford. An eastbound train is seen here arriving
at Waterloo in the Summer of 2004.
