The westbound sub-surface platform at London Underground's King's Cross St Pancras station. Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City Line trains all call here. Metropolitan Line services are operated by 8-car 'A'-stock trains while the other two lines use 6-car 'C'-stock trains. The '6' between the rails in the foreground is the stopping mark for the 'C'-stock trains, while the 8 car stopping mark is in the distance, only a couple of feet from the tunnel headwall.

A notice London Underground's King's Cross St Pancras for drivers ("train operators") of Metropolitan Line 'A'-stock trains, reminding them that their trains are too long for the platforms at Euston Square and Great Portland Street stations. The notice instructs them to "cut out rear doors" - i.e. make sure that these doors do not open at the specified stations.
