The District Line platforms at Earl's Court London Underground station. The left hand train is an unrefurbished D78 stock, while the train on the right of the picture is one of the first few D78 units to have been refurbished. The train in the centre is most likely a C69 stock on a service to Edgware road. The Picadilly line also serves this station, but calls at tube-level platforms beneath the sub-surface ones seen here.

A section of four-rail 630v DC electrified track on London Underground's District Line at Earl's Court station. This photograph illustrates a traction current gap and the complexities that happen at even a simple set of diverging points. The silvery white projection to the right of the righhand rail (to the left of the platform sign) is a tripcock that causes an emergency brake application if a train passes a red signal.

Its nice to see that not everything is hi-tec on London Undeground as this
