Looking south from the northern end of Chesham station in Buckinghamshire, the London Underground station most distant from central London. The ground-level signal head on the left was, along with the disused signal box, to be used to show school children how signalling worked. Unfortunately this plan fell through, possibly due to health and safety concerns of having children so close to the electrified track.

Unfortunately this plan fell through, possibly due to health and safety concerns of having children so close to the electrified track. The signal head itself was formerlly the starting singal for one of the platforms at the station, a job no longer required since the track to the second platform was removed.
