A merged view of the junction between the Hammersmith and City Line and the Circle/Metropolitan Lines at Aldgate station. The Hammersmith and City Line takes the tracks on the left to Aldgate East station, while Circle and Metropolitan Line trains bear round to the right to call at Aldgate station. The yellow cabinets are related to the electrified third and fourth rails.

A London Underground Circle Line 'C' stock EMU (right) and a Metropolitan Line 'A' stock EMU (left) at the northern end of platforms 1 and 2 of Aldgate station. The length difference between the 6-car 'C' stock and 8-car 'A' stock trains here is duplicated at the southern end as well. The Metropolitan Line terminates here, while the Circle Line obviously doesn't - it next meets the District Line at Minories junction before they both head west to Tower Hill station.
