Friday 9th December 2005 is a historic day for London as it will be the very last one for a Routemaster operated route,
the 159, which will officially end at mid-day...so that we can at least see and photograph it! All is not lost though
as following much protest a few restored examples will continue to run for tourists...and people
like myself...on parts of route 9 and 15. Now where is all this about buses leading to? Well to the station pictured
alongsideTower Gateway which is a City of London Terminus for the Docklands Light Railway. I could not resist
taking a one of the RMs on Route 15 to the nearby Tower and seeing just how good they looked. At the top of the
steps the DLR overlooks the line into Fenchurch Street Station. Pictured on the 16th November 2005.
