Birmingham CENTRO Metro car entering Wolverhapton on 17 May 1999, nearly two
weeks before the official opening on 17 ay 1999. These cars were
running a full 'shadow service' to confirm schedules.

CENTRO Metro unit seen at Wednesbury Station on 17 May 1999 on type
testing trials before the opening on 31 May 1999. Basically this
service is a full year behind schdule. Wednesbury is also the depot
for these units.

Birmingham Metro Tramcar entering the 'The Hawthorns' station near Birmingham. This is a parkway station where the 'heavy rails' from Birmingham Snow Hill to Kidderminster parts company just under the railway arch. On leaving the station and turning left is a cycle way where good photographs can be taken of the metro in 'wild'.

Birmingham Metro Tramcar entering the Hawthorns. This location is entirely legal since it was taken on the cycel path that runs parallel to the line after the Hawthorn station going towards Wolverhampton.
