Class 332 of Heathrow Express, seen at the West end of Hayes & Harlingdon, where the Heathrow line (mostly underground) branches off the Great Western Main Line.
This trainset has just entered the Heathrow "Down" track, slowing from 100 down to 50mph. One can also spot the Heathrow "Up" track (stretching from the fly-over in the background), with the 2 Fast tracks (125mph) of the GWML in-between. GWML Slow tracks (90-100mph) are located further right. Hayes & Harlingdon. 16th August 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |

A westbound First Great Western HST with powercar 43163 on the rear passes Paddington-bound Heathrow Express Class 332 EMU 332008 and Royal Oak London Underground station at the start of its express journey. 43163 was also bringing up the rear on the 10:32 Swansea to London Paddington service on 19 September 1997 that collided with an EWS freight train at Southall, a few miles west of here, writing off the lead powercar 43173.
