Two ONE Railways Class 321 EMU's, in Great Eastern livery, leaving Stratford for Southend Victoria. (15 March 2006, Walter M. Brands, http://brands.host.sk) |
First Great Eastern 321 unit seen entering Ipswich Station from the down side siding - basically the working is that the terminating service will wait in the sidings until the Anglia service has passed and then re-enter the station to form the FGE service, in the fulness of time it is thought that the Desiro 460 units will replace these units.

Great Eastern 321's have been hired out to Silverlink which is why a combination
of the two can be seen leaving London Euston on the 26th May 2005.

With platform 10 at Stratford closed due to a points failure trains were put through 10a where it is relatively unusual
for passenger services to stop. Here a class 321 ONE service to Southend Victoria makes its scheduled stop but despite frequent
announcements a number of passengers still appeared on the 'wrong' platform hoping to board a train. I must have re-directed
at least 8...yet a further benefit of having railway enthusiasts like myself at stations! The date is February 6th 2007.
