Doorstep of a a TMST car.
As this pic was made on the Continent, all steps were in use. Compliance with BR-W6 loading-gauge accounts for this large gap between the train and the platform, all the more as the latter is built to French standards (0.55m). Paris-Nord. 18th May 2005.

Doorstep of a a TMST car.
As this pic was made in Britain, only the middle and upper steps were in use, while the lower step remained folded within the carbody. One can feel very well BR-W6 loading-gauge, with a very reduced gap between the carbody and the platform... London-Waterloo. 24th May 2005.

Doorstep of a a TMST car.
As this pic was made on the Continent, all steps were in use. However, higher platforms in Belgium than in France (0.75m instead of 0.55m) mean that the lower step is fewer indispensable. Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid. 16th June 2005.
