Type : Class 90/1 90129 'Frachtverbindungen' in DB railways red, is seen while being used in a loco pull contest at the Crewe International depot open day on 3-MAY-97. This was probably just a cover for the Train Operating Companies (TOC's) looking at cheaper methods of getting failed loco's back to a depot without having to pay Railtrack high access charges for a loco being sent out to pull the failed one back

This was never a regular sight a pair of 90s...but this time 90144 leads the way with a Felixstowe bound
liner at Stratford E.London in the Summer of 2002. Freightliners 10 class 90s had their ETH...electric train heating...isolated and were
restricted to 75 MPH for a while but have all since returned to being regular 90 0s.
