87028 is now operated by GBRf which as can be seen from the branding on the front is now owned by First. The Loco
was one of two class 87s given a trial by DRS last year and retains their blue livery. Pictured at Willesden
on the 21st January 2006.

A small number of mail trains have returned to the rails operated by GBRf. This one has 87026
hauling 3 class 325 units towards London at Headstone Lane on one of the additional postal trains
operated in the approach to Christmas. The date is the 21st December 2005.

A pair of 87s at Stratford...Yes! 87019 now part of the GBRf fleet and Cotswold Rail's 87007 head

The Norwich bound special with 87019 in charge speeds through Ingatestone on the 24th September 2005 on what
we believe is the first passenger train operated by the class on the Great Eastern Main Line....unless someone knows
different!

Now this really is a RARE sight...a class 87 at London's King's Cross! This could quite possibly be the very first passenger
departure by this class of loco from this station...only operating until recently out of nearby Euston. Not only that
but 87006 is an interesting loco to appear on this train as it was one of the class given a trial by DRS and still retains that livery without the logos.
The date of the picture is Easter Friday the 14th April 2006.

87006 in DRS colours but now operated by GBRf waits on Platform 1 at London's Kings Cross with Hertfordshire
Rail Tours Easter Scottish Rail Excursion. The loco which will shortly depart for Edinburgh will make a very
unusual sight indeed on the ECML especially with the Blue Pullman set and additional MK 1 coach in tow. Keeping the 87
company and completing the scene on April 14th 2006 are two GNER class 91s.

Here is one of the class 87s given a trial by DRS hence the livery although orange has since been added
around the windows as it is now operated by First owned GBRf. 87022 belts north through Bushey on the
WCML on the 20th April 2006.

HISTORY. Well it seems that all remaining class 87s...with the exception of 87001 at the NRM and two non-operational
ones...are off to BULGARIA in the new year. Already out there are 87012 and 87019 making this famous WCML class history
over here. This GBRf operated example 87028 'Lord President' is seen making a rare appearence at Stratford
E.London, on the 15th November 2007 on a route learner to Southend Victoria of all places!

Who would have thought we would see this again! It is not quite what it appears as 87006 is shortly to depart on a 'driver refresher'
run and not a service train as a result of a short term requirement for loco and stock hauled diagrams
between Euston and Wolverhampton whilst modifications are made to the Pendolino fleet. Pictured at London Euston
on June 2nd 2006.
