EWS Class 08/9. 08994, with 08511 visible behind, is seen on display at the EWS Toton depot open weekend on Sat 29th Aug 1998. Note the lower cab roof on this loco which was lowered in order to permit this loco to operate along the Cwmmawr branch. Out of the 5 so converted for this duty only 08993, 08994 & 08995 survive, 08991 & 08992 being condemned several years earlier as they were fitted with vacuum brakes only.
