The class 180 ADELANTE units are undoubtedly one of the more stylish new trains. The 5 car units can be combined together to form a 10 coach train as is seen here at Cardiff Central in August 2002.

A ten car Class 180 (2 x 5) pulled into Reading station, due to the length of the platform a traditional three quarters shot was not possible, but using full zoom I noticed this shout.

Class 180 Adelante seen on the 13:13 departure to London Paddington at Reading station on 15 June 2002. It appears to have been in a scrape someowhere along the line, spare fibreglass nose cones are held at Old Oak Common so sights like this should be uncommon.

HISTORY...for the moment at least! These 180s are undoubtedly the most stylish looking of the new units to appear in recent years but
unfortunately they have not been a great success. First Great Western are currently planning to stop leasing them in the New Year
and as far as I am aware no other TOC is as yet taking them on although one should eventually. This unit was pictured at
London Paddington in September 2007.
