Chiltern Railways 121 020 has been overhauled and refurbished so that it can provide a Monday-Friday morning and evening peak service between Aylesbury and Princess Risborough releasing a Turbo for other duties. It looks as if this unit will soon become the only first generation DMU in passenger use on the main line as 101s are shortly going to stop operating out of Manchester Victoria. What we cannot bring you are the sounds that accompany the unit...the distinctive Leyland engine that reminds us a London RT bus and the 'hissing sound' from the drivers cab as we slow for our next stop .
