46052 pauses at Derby, just before midnight on a misty evening in
February 1984, with the York-Bristol Travelling Post Office service.
This connected here with the Lincoln-Crewe TPO. Again, both of these
services were booked for steam heated Peaks, but as non-passenger
workings there was rarely anyone else there to photograph them.

Cousins! Class 46 Peak seen alongside it not too distant relative D4,
Great Gable. Class 44,45,46 were very similar not only in bodyshell
desig but also in other terms, Class 44's were seen as the prototypes
for the Class 45 & 46's.
