Class 40 D200 near Hurstbourne with a Basingstoke - Andover working, 26/9/87. CLass 40's were unknown on this line. This was a special working organised as part of the Basingstoke Rail Fair.

Class 40 Prototype seen at Crewe Works Open Day on 19 May 2000. This attractive machine is decked out in the original green livery with 'Stratford' stencils on the side indicating 'home' depot'.
