EWS Class 37/4 EWS Class 37/4 - 37407, which has been stored out of use at Wigan CRDC since Jan 2003, was sent north by road to Motherwell for further storage in Oct 2005 and was deposited at Mossend yard, presumably for rail movement the short distance to Motherwell. Still displaying the 'TransRail' logo and now looking in a sorry state, 37407 was still dumped at Mossend when this view was taken on on Sun 15th January 2006 at 12:19.

The EWS 37 410 Aluminium 100 in Two-tone grey with Transrail branding stabled here at the Motorail Terminal in Edinburgh Waverley with RfD 90 026. The 37 was left in this location for more than a week since this photo was taken, possibly because of a failure which prevents its use. At one stage three locomotives were stabled in this location at the same time, which is a rare occurance. 10 April 1999 at 0015 hours with Jessop’s cheap ISO 400. Partial side view of EWS/TransRail two-tone grey 37 423, complete with dirty nameplates and weatherbeaten paintwork. The Sir Murray Morrison 1873-1948, Pioneer of the British Aluminium Industry was stabled in close proxmity of the EWS 90 025 at the Motorail Terminal in Edinburgh Waverley on Friday, 2 April 1999 at 0719 hours (see also the other pic). This pic was taken en-route to Glasgow with the shoddy camera. I don’t know if I am colour blind but I was fairly certain that morning the top band on the loco looked sort of blu-ish, in fact, almost as if someone had mistaken Caledonian Blue paint for a grey one... Near to Newport Station we find two celebrity class 37s parked next to each other.
One is 37402 'Bont Y Bermo' in its unique livery and alongside our old favourite 37685,
which had been withdrawn with traction motor problems but has made yet another comeback.
