The end of 37s in S.Wales means the few remaining EWS 37 4s are now either in Scotland or based in the
London area. Here we see Large Logo 37425 and 419 making their way through Kentish Town West
on the 23rd December 2005 with just a single coach and class 59 in tow.

Now no longer employed in the valleys of S.Wales 37411 has moved to London where it is seen
approaching West Drayton on the 6th January 2006 with what can only be described as a
HUGE 1300 ton ballast train in tow!

Taking things easy on the rear of the Serco Test Train is Large Logo Tractor 37425.
The distinct sound of wheel flats though suggests a visit to the wheel lathe may well be required to keep 'Pride of
the Valleys' in traffic. The place is Charlton S.London and the date January 23rd 2006.

The last regular opportunity to travel on a loco hauled diesel train will end on Saturday December 10th 2005
when the Valley Lines on South Wales go over to unit operation. To mark this a couple of 37 4s have been
put into a heritage livery and one of these 37425 is seen here at the destination Rhymney having just brought
in its train from Cardiff on the 8th October 2005.

Originally D6990 and carrying the appropriate livery but now named 'Caephilly Castle' 37411
brings up the rear of the Test Train as it runs through Maze Hill S.London on the
23rd January 2006. We think this loco might have been re-instated especially for this Serco so
it could turn out regretably to be its last run..we hope not but we will see!

Large Logo 37425 on the Serco Test Train runs through Maze Hill on the 23rd January 2006. It is thought
this loco should be opertating for a little while yet but the days of regular class 37 sightings around the Capital
are long gone, although the EPS Tractors are still present and DRS ones continue to appear on Flask and Serco workings.
