Class 35 in scruffy BR Blue. An unidentified Hymek passes Southall with a 7 coach up Paddington Express on a Saturday morning in June 1972. The 1st & 3rd coaches appear to be carrying the German style train information boards at the waist level of the coaches next to the centre doors.

Class 35. 7026 was exhibited at the Reading Diesel Depot Open Day in August 1971. It was cut up in May 1975.

Class 35. D7018 in the early days of diesel preservation at the Didcot Railway Centre in July 1977. There was a visit to the depot as part of a steam special with Clun castle from Birmingham. The special started from St. Pancras by diesel to Birmingham, Clun Castle to Didcot, diesel to Newport, Clan Line to Shrewsbury and then 45041 "The Royal Tank Regiment" to Euston.

Class 35 Hymek D7017 and WSR 2-6-0 no 9351 in sidings at Williton station on the West Somerset Railway, photographed during the Spring Steam Gala.

WSR 2-6-0 no 9351 is a controversial rebuild of former ex-GWR 2-6-2T Large Prairie no 5193, based around the GWRs proposed, but never built, Small Mogul design.
