VDA 200913. The shorter air brake vans types VAA, VBA, VCA and VDA have similar bodies but with variations on door configurations - VDA having sliding central doors and hinged end doors. They also use similar underframes to other wagons being built at the time like the OBA for example. At the very end of this rake of double-decker car wagons were five wagons that were completely covered, altough the profile would certainly allow two rows of cars to be transported as well. The wagons being hauled through Bristol Temple Meads station by EWS Class 66 locomotive 66133.

An unusual VGA went by whilst we were down at Stratford in the Spring of 1999...so I decided to
photograph it. Judging by the branding on the side it must have been used for transporting Lovat Spring... water presumably.
