Farewell to Mk2s and Mk3s on Virgin West Coast.
2 Mk3 Driving/Luggage Trailers (DLV) of Virgin West Coast, seen at London-Euston. These cars were introduced in the late-80s, so as speed up turnarounds ar termini stations. They run with Mk3s to Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, but also with Mk2s on London-Birmingham-Wolverhampton. 09th December 2003. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |
Still looking strangely out of place Virgin stock is still a common sight on ONE Anglia services
although they are slowly being painted into the new colours. This DVT led train is seen
at Colchester on the 17th September 2005.

It appears that Virgin West Coast has had to hire in some Anglia Mk 2 stock whilst
some modifications are made to Pendolinos so the Virgin/Anglia combination can now
be seen at South Kenton as well as at Stratford. It is running in reverse order with the
DVT leading and a class 87 pushing on the 16th August 2004.
