Comédie Tunnel, seen at its Northern Portal, on Allée de la Citadelle. This tunnel runs alongside the Montpelliers-Nimes railway line (left) for some 100m. This is the only underground segment on Line A. The opposite portal is on Place de la Comédie.
Both the railway and tram lines are seen looking towards Central Montpelliers and the Railway station. An urban expressway used to emerge out of this portal. Southern Portal to the Comédie Tunnel, on Tram Line A (Mosson-Odysseum), seen looking towards the Corum and Mosson.

Tram set running on Avenue Henri Frenay, seen from the upper floor of Montpelliers railway station, looking towards Odysseum (Tram) and Nimes (Railway).
The very last 300 m on the railway line East of the station were covered in 1986/1987, to make room for an elevated, dedicated bus lane, Avenue Henri Frenay. This newly-built avenue was later adapted to accommodate Tram Line A. Actually, this line consists of pre-existing dedicated bus lanes for some 70%... 17th April 2004. This is the reversal track. One can spot Motorway A9 (Orange-Le Perthus Frontière) in the background, along with Interchange 29 (for Montpellier-Est).
