Ex-SNCF 141 R 420 and 141 R 840 coupled together at Longueville on 18 september 2011. AJECTA celebrated the centenary of their roundhouse and invited three 141 R locos, -420 (red stripe and all driving wheels standard), -840 (yellow stripe and one driving wheel of BoxPoc-style) and -1126 (no distinctive stripe, all driving wheels BoxPoc-type) of which -420 and -840 were coupled together on 18 September 2011. In 1945 the French government ordered 1.340 standardised 1D1-locos, which became SNCF Class 141 R. Thirteen locos were lost when they fell overboard the freight ship during the crossing over the Atlantic while they were being delivered. photo by Leon Schrijvers Leon2711schrijvers@yahoo.co.uk
