141R1187, built 1945 by Baldwin for SNCF. 1340 locomotives of this type,
a remarkable number for the post-war era, have been built to compensate
for the great losses of the second world war from 1945 to 1947, though 17
of them were lost in a ship accident. This is a locomotive of the second
series, oil fired with cast chassis and cylinders, boxpok wheels, and
kylchap smokestack. Weight 115.5 t, length 24.12 m including tender, wheel
