Station of Perpignan:
Tracks, South end. This pic was made from Platform 3, which is currently confined to TER traffic to/from Villefranche-Vernet les Bains (for "Le Train Jaune"). Further left, one can notice sidings, for TGV and TER formations upon turnaround, and the Parcels station. Under the Perpignan-Figueres HSL project,
• Platform 3 will be remodelled and extended to 400m, while a 4th platform with an extra track (F) will see light just left. Both these platforms will actually accommodate traffic using the International HSL.

Station of Perpignan:
Those tracks under construction are the new sidings, which are to accommodate French and Spanish passenger formations upon turnaround. These new sidings are located right next to the Perpignan-Villefranch line (right), shortly after branching off the Narbonne-Portbou main line. The Villefranche line is also to be dual-tracked over 6km , until Le Soler, where the HSL will originate. These works are actually the very first step carried out on the part of RFF under the Perpignan-Figueres HSL project. Perpignan (Perpinyŕ). 16th November 2005.
