Three different gauges can be observed at La Tour de Carol, border station between France and Spain. The train on the left is a Renfe service for Barcelona (1672mm), in the middle further back a TER waits for departure for Toulouse (1435mm) and to your right the Train Jaune / Tren Groc (Yellow Train) uses 1000mm gauge and a third rail for power supply on the mountainous route to Font Romeu and Villefranche de Conflent where it connects to the line to Perpignan.
