CFC - Corsica, France The entrance to the new AMG trainsets is really low-floor, but 5 steps are necessary to reach the passenger compartments. Bastia, 18-05-2012 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
CFC - Corsica, France The passenger compartments at the end of the the new trainsets type AMG slope towards the cabin and offer a nice view outside. Unfortunately the trainsets are incredibly noisy with the engine sound reaching very annoying levels inside. Bastia, 18-05-2012 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

New EMU "AMG" (for "Autorail voie Métrique de Grand confort") ordered in 2003 by the Corsican
Railways (CFC) from CFD-Bagnères.
These will be delivered in 2006/2007, primarily for Superfast services on Bastia-Ajaccio, with
8-9 daily services planned (02:30, with 3 stops), instead of the current 4 daily services
(03:30 in average).
With 880kW (for just 80t), they will form the highest-powered metre-gauge, DMU fleet in the world.
