1948 vintage 'Picasso' X 3959 at the Gare de Confolens, headquarters of the Chemin de fer Charente-Limousine (CFCL). The unit, though cosmetically rough, is understood to be operational. However the poor condition of the 33 km of CFCL track between Roumazières and Confolens prevents X 3959 from commercial use. CFCL hope to raise funds to buy and renew the track and run tourist services. Meanwhile they run a 'Vélo-Rail' operation (5-seater rail pedalos) split into 15 and 18 km sections (Roumazières-Manot/Manot-Confolens).
