North end of Pasilly Jct, on LGV PSE (LN1, Combs la Ville<->Sathonay), seen looking towards Paris (and London, Lille, Brussels, Le Havre, Rennes, Nantes...).
At this stage, TGV/Lyria traffic from Burgundy, Franche-Comté and Switzerland (Via Vallorbe or Les Verrières) joins the HSL (main tracks), using the Aisy-Pasilly chord ("Up" track, further left), from the PLM conventional line. Pasilly Jct. 20th August 2005.

At this stage, TGV/Lyria traffic from Burgundy, Franche-Comté and Switzerland (Via Vallorbe or Les Verrières) joins the HSL (main tracks) at 270km/h, using the Aisy-Pasilly chord ("Up" track, from the PLM conventional line), which one can spot further right. Traffic from Lyons, Geneva, the Alps, the Med and Italy (via Modane) conversely runs at 300km/h on the "Up" Main track. Pasilly Jct. 20th August 2005.

This single track is actually the "Up" track of the Aisy-Pasilly chord (from the PLM conventional line), which accommodates TGV/Lyria traffic from Burgundy, Franche-Comté and Switzerland (Via Vallorbe or Les Verrières). The Main tracks (for Paris/London/Brussels/North/Northwest <---> Geneva/Lyons/the Alps/Italy/the Med) and the "Down" track of the Aisy-Pasilly chord are located further right (off-pic). At this stage, TGV/Lyria traffic to Burgundy, Franche-Comté and Switzerland (Via Vallorbe or Les Verrières) leaves the HSL (main tracks) at 220km/h, using the Aisy-Pasilly chord ("Down" track, further right), towards the PLM conventional line. Traffic to Geneva, Lyons, the Alps, Italy (via Modane) and the Med conversely runs on the Main "Down" track, at 300km/h. The"Up" track of the Aisy-Pasilly chord is located further left (off-pic). The village further behind is Pasilly. Pasilly Jct. 20th August 2005.
