East HSL (Stage 1), seen at its very East end.
This is the Baudrecourt chord (for Strasburg, and Stuttgart/Zurich), where Stage 1 joins the Luxemburg-Metz-Strasburg conventional line. This pic was made from the rear car of EC 96 "Iris" (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid-Chur Hbf). Baudrecourt. 17th October 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |
East HSL (Stage 1), seen at its very East end.
Left: Baudrecourt (dual-track) chord (for Strasburg and Stuttgart/Zurich). Right: Herny (single-track) chord (for Saarbrücken and Frankfurt). This pic was made from the rear car of EC 96 "Iris" (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid-Chur Hbf). Baudrecourt. 17th October 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |
East HSL (Stage 1), seen at its very East end.
This bridge will accommodate the "Up" track (viz. Paris-bound). It will also secure a smooth track-changeover (right/left) on the HSL. One can guess pretty easily where the "Down" track (viz. Eastbound) will join the conventional line, and thence how the change-over will take place... This pic was made from the rear car of EC 90 "Vauban" (Milano Centrale-Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid). East HSL (Stage 1), seen at its very East end.
This is where the "Up" track (Paris-bound) will branch off the Strasburg-Metz-Luxemburg conventional line. This pic was made from the rear car of EC 96 "Iris" (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid-Chur Hbf). Baudrecourt. 17th October 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |
East HSL (Stage 1), seen at its very East end.
This bridge will actually accommodate the single-track chord stretching from the HSL (further left, off-pic) to Herny (for Saarbrücken and Frankfurt). This pic was made from the rear car of EC 96 "Iris" (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid-Chur Hbf). St-Epvre. 17th October 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |
