LGV Rhône-Alpes (LN4, Montanay-St Marcel les Valence).
This is the Viaduct of La Côtière (1,728m), through which this HSL leaves the Dombes Plateau and runs down to the Rhône, with a 35%o (1 in 28) gradient. This pic is looking towards Valence and Marseilles. Only those TGV services which ignore Lyons actually run here, viz. mostly Paris-Alps/Med services. La Côtière. 6th August 2005.
