Paris Bastille M1 platform This is a MP89 train "CC04" to La Vincennes, which was very new for that time. By now, almost all the M1 trains are MP89's, with automatically opening and closing doors and red lights to warn passengers the doors will close. These are similar to the M14 trains which are driverless. Bastille is underground for M5 and M8, but an "open cut" for M1 as it is not as deep as the other platforms. Most of M1 is underground except for Bastille. Taken August 1997 (C) 1997, 2005 by Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |

Model of a metro line (scale 1:43) that was used for training.
The 196 m long model was originally built for an international
exposition at Brussels in 1934. The model was abandoned in 1984 and
the RATP decided to refurbish a little part in 1990 (only 25 m).
