At Lille Flandres unlike most other stations which have side platforms, there is "cross-platform" transfering from Line 1 to line 2 because Flandres has two central platforms. The Lille metro is similar to that of Lyon's Line D, a "driverless" system but controlled remotely, except it has platform doors above and underground.
